I’ve heard many people say that to be selfish is to be inconsiderate, that one should put another before him/herself. I disagree with this. In order to help, give, or love another you have to be able and willing to do this for yourself. How can you be of any benefit to someone whether a friend or a sexually intimate partner if you are of no good to yourself? What is love to you? How do you show yourself love? What actions have you taken to help you enjoy a better life? What have you internally fed yourself that can encourage you to gain knowledge, wisdom, and understanding? Simply, if you do not know how to pamper yourself with the goodness and greater things life offers, how can you be able to do anything selflessly for another? SLEEPING IN MY BED

Under The Sun Sleeping In My Bed By Quandi Olayinka Disclaimer: I do not write these passages to make you think the way that I think. I write to make you think and encourage conversation. I’m back! And with something juicy and even more thought-provoking! I was inspired to write this after having two lengthy conversations with a couple of friends. First, one of my friends asked me if I thought traits were learned. I feel that physical traits are more so genetically acquired, whereas, behavioral conditions are learned. I added that acquired traits would include hair, eye, and skin color, eye shape, hands and toes, and hair texture, for instance. My friend asked, “What about emotions?” This question is kind of tricky for me.
